The Highlights

"A challenge for Dublin and Odyssey"

Odyssey was well aware of the challenge, having managed a program of similar size for the same client in the year 2000. This time, with additional Hotels and more activities – the challenge was even greater!

16,000! At the very least, this was the number of times people exited Hotels to be whisked off to an event. Not one was missed.

Odyssey managed all aspects of the arrangements for 1000 top sales executives and their partners when visiting Dublin from North America ranging from their airport arrivals and departures, transportation & staffing, a significant amount of VIP arrangements, a broad range of activities in Dublin and the countryside, ‘Welcome’ parties and Gala Dinners.

The ‘Welcome Party’ was in the Guinness Storehouse and was a huge success.

1200 people moving about the various floors was a big challenge for dinner, drinks and entertainment but the detailed planning in the months and weeks beforehand meant that this was one of the trip highlights.

Amongst a varied program of daytime activities, we had Hiking on a secluded mountain, Biking on winding country roads, exclusive Horseriding on a 300 acre farm, Golf on two magnificent courses – private for the day - and a selection of customised walking and coach tours on which we encountered some interesting local characters!

The Gala / Awards evenings were bravura productions, combining as they did a specially constructed ‘Irish Village’ setting for cocktails and later dancing, and sheer elegance for Dinner and Awards. The finale was a magnificent ‘Riverdance style’ production that had guests on their feet applauding and cheering – a perfect finale to a memorable week.
